Malaysia | an introduction to diving

Mainland – or Peninsula Malaysia – nestles between the South China Sea and the Straights of Malacca. Borneo’s two states, over 500 km away, are surrounded by the South China, Sulu and Celebes Seas. The marine environment there is incredibly diverse so no matter where you go, there will be plenty to discover. Across on the Malaysian mainland, the offshore islands have some promising diving too. It's subject to seasonal weather patterns but if you are there at the right time, it's an area well worth exploring.
